Back around March 2011 I was approached by Packt Publishing to write their first book into the Ciscoverse covering their star Unified Communications technology, the Unified Communications Manager. After some thought I decided to pursue the task, and boy was it a challenge. Nearly a year later I am proud to announce my first book, Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8: Expert Administration Cookbook is now available in print, kindle and eBook formats!
To get an idea of what topics are covered I’ve included the table of contents.
Chapter 1: Call Routing, Dial Plan, and E.164
Chapter 2: Call Admission Control
Chapter 3: Media Resources and Music On Hold
Chapter 4: Tracing and Troubleshooting Tools
Chapter 5: Device and Unified Mobility
Chapter 6: User Management
Chapter 7: User Features
Chapter 8: Advanced Features
Chapter 9: Securing Unified Communications
Chapter 10: Serviceability, Upgrades, and Disaster Recovery
Chapter 11: Bulk Administration Tool
If you’re interested in purchasing the book in Kindle or Hardcover format, please consider using my affiliate link to support me (it doesn’t cost you anything!). However if you want a PDF version of the book (which I recommend over the Kindle format) you can purchase that directly from the publisher here.
